A mixed media little drawings exploring the winter colours and sensations beside the river Dart in Devon. A reed bed which forms one element of the saltmarshes on the river. A place to sit and draw and listen the birds and the wind in the reeds. The swaying movement is echoed by the constant ebb and flow of the tides.
I love to draw here and generally bring a selection of papers that I have cut back at the studio and a few materials. The abundance of site specific pigments and tools to use always makes for bold and dynamic starts.
