Charcoal
Drawing with charcoal is sensitive and the selection of paper and the scale are integral to the outcome. Beautiful monochromatic drawings of landscapes and still life’s through the seasons. Use of charcoal in my portraiture is for me, always a very sensitive way of exploring my subject.
I shall be looking this year at the symbolism of fruits and as a starter I produced some charcoal and pen ink drawings. The possibilities are almost endless and the use of images can vary hugely.
