Sea Aster in seed
This small pastel drawing was a real delight to make using a macro lens to study these darling little seed heads. The textures and tones really do interplay with one another so well.
Rising through the surface, the intricate flow of sweeping lines and textured forms creates an engaging still life of abstract expression. Earthy tones weave through the composition, suggesting natural elements intertwined in both conflict and unity, embodying a delicate arrangement within the chaos of the modern world. These organic strokes challenge the boundaries of conventional norms, reflecting a fluidity that questions our perception of nature itself. The raw, tactile quality of the medium presents an exploratory vigor, stimulating viewer curiosity. Through its energetic presence, the artwork unfolds an emotional experience, leaving an impression that lingers long after the visual encounter.
