Templemeads Scaffholding
Working from sketches I made on a city visit I drew some pastel drawings. I have used the pastel to paint this expressive impression. The hotel I stayed kindly allowed me to change rooms so that I could see the view. I always take materials with me and I believe inspiration is all around us, we just need to be sensitive to it.
Erupting with an array of strong hues, a vivid structure stands against a swirling sky, portraying a moment where architecture and nature converge. The textured strokes and fluid brushwork bring to life the essence of a building, seemingly melting and reshaping under an ever-changing atmosphere. The artist's distinctive style shines through the use of thick, expressive lines that outline a facade rich with character and history. One can almost feel the tempestuous energy flickering through the windows and doors, hinting at stories untold. In the years to come, will this piece remind viewers of the impermanence and ever-evolving nature of man-made forms?
