This mixed media work was fun and challenging to create, a desire to get the viewer to search the surface for meaning. The buildings of a bygone age, the testament to an industrial past in this part of the city of Bristol. This body of emerging work was the result of a change of room in an hotel to get a better view of the cityscape.

Fiery, textured hues of burnt orange and dusky blues dominate this abstract landscape, intertwining with muted pastels in a captivating display. The painting challenges viewers' perceptions with its contrast of fluid, organic forms against jagged, abrupt lines, creating a feeling of tension and movement. Thick, impasto brushstrokes lend a tactile quality to the surface, prompting the observer to consider the relationship between structure and chaos. The fragmented skyline suggests architectural elements yet remains ambiguous, provoking questions about memory and ruins. Contemplate how the spirited use of color and form inspires thoughts on the transient nature of human accomplishments and the enduring force of nature.
