Clear Waters

Having visited the Dalmatian coast for the first time I was transfixed by the beautiful waters. I am making a body of work based on my visit and will be adding more. I shall be printing and doing more mixed drawing and paintings to provide a sense of place. on this piece I thoroughly enjoyed working in layers of texture, adding gesso and fixing in layers. I think some of these may work well together, I used a mock up image to give an idea.

Vivid strokes of azure and cerulean cascade across the surface, forming a seascape that engages viewers. Layered shades of blue, interspersed with hints of dark ink-like swirls, depict the restless and tumultuous sea. Varied brush techniques, with sweeping gestures and textured applications, convey a feeling of movement and complexity. Each layer appears to flow into the next, constructing an intricate visual narrative of light and shadow. This energetic tableau of color and form prompts deeper interaction as one contemplates the ever-changing moods of the ocean. What thoughts emerge as you absorb the intensity of this artwork?
